How to Successfully Log in to Upwork
Upwork is a flexible platform that can be a reliable source of income for job seekers. However, if you want to use Upwork, there are steps that you must follow first.
Whether you are a job seeker or an employer, Upwork can be a great help for you. Read and follow the steps below to get started:
Step 1: Visit the Upwork Website
The link for the Upwork website is https://www.upwork.com. You can use your web browser on any device to access the Upwork site.
After you arrive at their website, there will be options provided for you that say ‘find talent’ and ‘find work.’ The ‘find talent’ option is for employees or business owners that want to use Upwork.
Also, the ‘find work’ button is to be clicked by job seekers or employees. It is the quickest way to sign up on the Upwork platform.
Alternatively, look for the ‘signup’ button located at the upper right part of their webpage. You may click on it, and then it will take you to the next page of the process.
Step 2: Begin the Upwork Signup Process
Depending on what signup button you click, the signup forms will be a bit different in how they appear. Still, the process will be the same.
A signup form will pop up immediately when you click on the ‘find talent’ or ‘find work’ button. There’s an option where you can sign in using your Google mail or apple instead.
If you decide to sign in with google or apple, you can skip to the 4th step now; if you don’t, you have to fill up the sign-in form.
Step 3: Provide Your Basic Personal Information
First, you have to provide your name, both full name and last name included. It is required for users to provide their actual names, and accurate information only should be presented.
Next, type in your work email address. It means that you must have a separate email for work other than your email.
After you have typed your email, choose the country where you are currently staying. There’s a dropbox containing a list of all countries that you may choose from.
Individuals who click on the signup button instead will choose to hire for a project or work as a freelancer. Choose one, and then click on the button.
Then, you must enter a username for your Upwork account. To keep it simple, you may use your nickname instead.
Finally, there are two checkboxes below that you must read. The first box is for you to allow Upwork to send emails about rewarding work and job leads.
Click the ‘create my account button and proceed to the next step.
Step 4: Wait Until Your Registered Profile Gets Approved
Open the work email that you provided earlier and see if you got a message from Upwork. If you receive a message from Upwork, open it and then click on the link that they have provided.
The link will take you to your new Upwork account page. If you haven’t received an email from Upwork, you may be already registered.
Now, to check if your Upwork account is already registered, you may submit a proposal and see if they approve it.
When nothing else works, you may contact them or register your account again.
Step 5: Fill up Your Job Details and Land at Your First Contract
Your job details will be the deal-breaker for the majority of employers. Only provide information that is correct and accurate.
Upload a photo of yourself where your employees can see what you look like. After that, provide your title, overview, work history, and skills that you are good with.
The same applies to Employers as well. To attract competitive workers, they must show their business’ or company’s potential to them.
By completing the information that you must provide, you are now ready to utilize Upwork to your advantage.
